About Reach Out Camden
What is Reach Out Camden?
Reach Out Camden is a collective of four charities – The Advocacy Project, Mind in Camden, Likewise and Voiceability delivering free mental health and wellbeing support across the Borough of Camden, London.
Who can use the service?
Our services are open to anyone aged 18 or over who live in Camden or are registered with a Camden GP. Anyone can access the support, regardless of eligibility for formal adult social care or previous mental health support.
Services Offered
What support services are available?
We provide a range of support including:
- One-to-one support with a key worker or peer mentor
- Activity groups such as informal social spaces, arts and crafts, exercise sessions, gardening, and day trips.
- Peer support groups focussed on shared experiences or backgrounds.
- Service user involvement through projects such as the Camden Borough User Group (CBUG) or Patients Council.
Do you provide Mental Health Advocacy?
We do not provide mental health advocacy. Our focus is on community connections and support.

Referrals and getting started
How do I make a referral?
You can complete a referral form online via our website here (10–15 minutes) or by contacting us by phone, post – full contact details are available via our Contact Us page.
If you struggle to use the online form you can drop in to either Likewise (8 Fairhazel Gardens, South Hampstead, NW6 3SG) or Mind in Camden (Mind in Camden

Do I have to complete the form online?
No, there are several other ways you can make a referral to Reach Out Camden:
- By phone: you can call us on +44 207 241 8984 and go through the form with one of our team over the phone
- By post: you can print off the referral form here and send it in to us. Our address is:

What happens after I submit a referral?
A Reach Out Camden Navigator will contact you to schedule an initial “Get to Know You” meeting within 3 weeks, where you’ll discuss your needs and preferred support options.
Can someone refer on my behalf?
Yes, friends, GPs, or others can submit the form, provided you consent to them supplying information for the referral on your behalf.
Do I have to fill in everything on the form (is every field mandatory)?
No, only some details are required – these are clearly indicated on the referral form. Other questions are optional at the referral stage, but they may be important to discuss with your navigator.
Is the information I share kept confidential?
Once you make a referral to Reach Out Camden, we take great care to make sure your information is looked after and kept safe. You can read our full privacy statement here (link), but some key points covered are:
- The information we collect from you is used to deliver and evaluate our services, and we only collect information that is necessary for us to do this.
- You have a right to access information we keep about you at any time, and ask us to delete or amend it.
- The only other time we would share information externally to Reach Out Camden would be if it is required by law, or to protect against harmful or illegal activity.

Why are questions about ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation asked?
We believe everybody should have access to our services regardless of age, gender, disability, race, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, socio-economic status, religion or belief. These questions are not asked to exclude anyone from our services, rather they ensure we are providing a diversity of services for the whole community. Our aim is to work alongside people and adapt our offers so there is something for everyone.
We are a non-judgemental team who welcome all people just as they are. We understand these questions can feel quite personal, so if you would feel more comfortable filling out this information in person with someone, just leave the section blank for now
Do I need to be resident in Camden to get support?
Generally speaking, you need to either live in Camden or have a GP in Camden to access support. This is a necessity for our one-to-one support. Our team would be happy to talk through any specific questions.
Crisis Support
What if I’m in crisis?
Reach Out Camden is not an urgent response service.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis and think that your life might be at risk, please call 999 or visit your nearest A&E if you can.
